CTE Month 2025
Weston-McEwen High School Student Spotlight
Meet Dena Loiland, a Junior at Weston-McEwen High School
She takes classes in Agriculture/FFA.
What do you enjoy about your CTE classes at WMHS?
I enjoy sharing my love for agriculture with people with similar interests. I enjoy all the
opportunities I get in and out of the classroom and learning more every day about the industry itself and how I can be a part of it.
How are CTE classes making a difference in your education?
FFA is really helping me expand my options for post-high school education. It is giving me many opportunities to grow as an individual and bring things back for my chapter. I really enjoy meeting people from all over the state who push me to be the best version of myself in and out of the classroom.
Would you like to share anything else about CTE at WMHS?
It's definitely something that students should consider being a part of because of all the
opportunities it opens up. It can help you decide on future career paths and even discover new interests.
