In today’s STEM challenge (3/24/2023), these two boys received one piece of construction paper, 12” of masking tape, a ruler, and scissors. They had to plan and make the longest paper chain possible. Afterwards, we discussed what made a longer link and how we could better utilize our supplies if we were to do it again. Also we determined thinner strips caused less resistance against the tape while in a loop.
