UPCOMING EVENTS:

The Sound of Fiddles

Athena Elementary Students will learn from fiddler Kelly Thibodeaux this week. Kelly is a professional fiddler from Louisiana with more than 35 years playing the violin. He will be instructing elementary students all week. His specialty is teaching basic skills in a short period of time. Each classroom will have a recital on Friday to demonstrate their new musical skills. Parents will receive notification when those recital times will be.

Winter Clothing

Winter snow and freezing temperatures have arrived. We have many children coming to school without boots, gloves, hats, coats and socks. We support opportunities to play outside and all students need to have warm clothing every day. Please make sure your children have proper clothing as they leave for school each day.

If your family is need of assistance with winter clothing, please let the office know.

If you are able to donate gloves, coats, hats, boots or socks, we have students who could use your support.

Attention Parents: Inclement Weather Bus Schedule

Athena-Weston School District bus routes cover approximately 420 miles per day. The longest two bus routes are each 90 miles round trip and cover the mountain and upper river. These routes may be impacted due to drifting snow, freezing rain, flooding or plowing schedules.
